“Put pressure and act such that the impunity that Israel enjoys in matters of violations of international law cease promptly”: here, finally, is the appeal addressed by five Christian inspired organizations to the French prime minister, François Fillon. “The respect and actuation of international law remain the sole means to obtain a just and fair peace in the Middle East” write in a communiqué Caritas France (Secours catholique), CIMADE (ecumenical organization for solidarity to migrants), “les Amis de Sabeel-France”, l'Acat-France (Christian association against torture) and of course DEFAP (Protestant Missionary Service). In particular, the organizations ask for “the suspension of the EU-Israel association accord". Last April, Israeli military decrees had redefined the notion of “infiltrated” that is to day, according to the Israeli definition, any individual who has entered illegally in he Occupied Territories, limiting the Palestinian citizens’ freedom of movement.
